DI is a private organisation funded, owned, and managed entirely by 12,000 companies within the manufacturing, trade and service industries. DI’s activities are centred on Policy Advocacy - at local, national, and international level; Business Membership Services - information, advisory services, consulting, and finally Network Relations between members and with society generally. DI has extensive experience in Africa, especially through about 30 long-term projects in cooperation with leading Business Membership Organisations.
