At the annual conference in January in Nairobi 2009 the ESA BMO Network identified four new policy issues to be the focus areas for the Network throughout 2009. For each of the four identified policy issues a working group has been established to work intensively with the issues for the rest of the year. This will include three Network meetings at the regional level, complemented by individual research at the national level.
